Modular Gazebo Kit Assembly

III. Roof Frame Installation
ASSEMBLY NOTES:
At this point the floor sections should be properly assembled and leveled. The wall assemblies should be fastened to each other and to the floor assembly. This next step will install and attach the roof frame assembly to the top of the finished walls. This will probably be the toughest part of the entire assembly procedure. This will require two step ladders and 2-3 people to safely raise the roof frame to rest on the wall sections. Do not drop Roof Frame Assembly.

Step 1: Clear path from roof frame assembly to Gazebo Assembly. Position the two ladders on opposite sides of structure. image051.jpg - 9856 Bytes
Step 2: Raise one side of roof frame assembly and then lift entire assembly until the highest point of assembly is able to rest on top of wall assembly. Continue to slide the assembly onto the wall sections. From the ladders, guide the roof frame assembly into proper position. The corner points of roof frame assembly should align above the wall section corner points. image052.jpg - 8618 Bytes

Step 3: Before the roof frame assembly can be attached to the wall structure, construction adhesive should be applied to the corner points where assemblies will meet to provide a quite, solid structure. Lift and rotate the roof frame assembly until the corner points are no longer aligned. At all corner points, apply an adequate amount of construction adhesive to the top of wall unions where roof frame rafters will rest. Lift entire roof frame assembly and rotate until all rafters are centered over at the union where each wall section meets. image061.jpg - 8415 Bytes

Step 4: Insert eight 6” pole barn nails into predrilled holes of top of roof rafters where wall section meet. Drive each nail with hammer to secure roof frame assembly to wall structure. image063.jpg - 6033 Bytes
